Using kids’ camps during a family vacation

My husband is a fan of using kids' camps during our family vacations, but I think family vacations should be about spending time as a family.  Our kids are 7 and 9.  We only get Dad to ourselves two weeks a year.  It pisses me off that he doesn't see how important this family vacation time is to the rest of us.Perhaps a romantic dinner with a gentle conversation that includes his desires and hopes for the family vacation will pave the way for a loving compromise to please all.  After all, you did say he only gets two weeks per year, right?
