gardenofedenThe world is filled with unique and bizarre places to explore. On my tornado chasing trip we stopped at a place known as the Garden of Eden,, located at 305 East 2nd Street in Lucas, Kansas. Seems a retired Civil War Veteran, Samuel Perry Dinsmoor, didn’t just want to retire. So instead. at the ripe age of 64 he started building this bizarre home, that made it’s way to becoming one of the 8 wonders of Kansas.
If you thought the wizard of Oz was weird, check this place out. It has become a world-renowned grassroots art site. A must see if you happen to like bizarre things like I do. The house comes complete with a mausoleum with his mummified remains!
