2 FREE Things to do in Flagstaff

Located in northern Arizona, Flagstaff lies along the western side of the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine forest in the Continental United States. Flagstaff was named for a Ponderosa Pine flagpole made by a scouting party from Boston in celebration of America’s Centennial on July 4, 1876. These two free things to do will help you have an affordable family vacation.

1. Movies on the Square – See free feature films at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff.  The family friendly event starts each Fridays in summer at 3 p.m, and includes music and a movie at dusk. Bring a jacket and a blanket or chair.

2. Concerts in the Park – This concert series features local musicians.  Six Wednesday nights between June and August.  Bring blankets and/or chairs.  5:30 p.m. start.
