The Inn on the River

The Inn on the River hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee,  is situated nearly in the middle of all the chaotic fun that Pigeon Forge has to offer. And yet, it is calm, quiet and felt like home. From first entering into the lobby we were greeted by smiling faces – even though we checked in late after the normal time. As we looked around the lobby area we saw families gathered together playing games, old friends exchanging gifts and laughing with one another, and new friends coming together telling stories of their travels. The guests of this hotel felt comfortable being together in the common areas and the hotel welcomed and nurtured those connections by offering comfortable seating, plus nightly complimentary snacks of popcorn and tea.

As we walked on past the lobby and through the pool area – which included both an indoor, outdoor pool and hot tub – we found the same connection-based theme continued. Lounge chairs were set up around the pool areas both inside and out allowing guests to relax and spend time together outside their rooms. The outdoor pool also overlooked the river, which sat only steps away, and offered both fun and a beautiful view.

Our room was clean and comfortable and the decor was cozy yet still up to date. Right outside our walk out balcony we could see and hear the river babbling. Inside the room we found a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, TV, desk, armoire, and a nice spacious bathroom. Like I do with every hotel we visit, I checked around the room for cleanliness and found this experience to be up to my standards.
