There's so much more to Halloween than just candy and costumes. Of course to a small child those are the very best parts of the holiday, but let Traveling Mom give you some other family-friendly ideas for enjoying this spook-tacular time of year.
If your kids can’t walk past a dog or cat without stopping to pet it—then I have the event for you. The annual AKC Meet the Breeds show, hosted by the American Kennel Club® (AKC) and The International Cat Association (TICA), is held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City and is the world’s largest showcase of dogs and cats.
If money were no object, I would travel around the world with a lot of stops in between. I would spend the amount of time until that feeling of understanding the culture sunk in. If it was a place I have traveled to before the amount of time would be based on reliving memories. Relaxation is important too – lessening stress and being pampered.
When you drive through Florida, the tall grass and low trees and shrubs that grow in the the marshes and along the Intracoastal waterway are beautiful scenery, and a great place for a meal at a marsh-side restaurant or a picnic at a public park.
