The question when taking kids to spring training is: grapefruit or cactus? The Grapefruit League is the spring training in south and central Florida, and the Cactus League is in Arizona. Ticket prices are not the bargain they once were; expect to pay about $15 for bleacher seats, up to $35 for field box. In Arizona, there is lawn seating for $7.
My twins are ten. And I’ll give you one guess how many years it’s been since my husband and I went on vacation alone together. Yes, it’s true. Other than one or two weekends in the country, or at a cousin’s wedding out of town, my husband and I have never gone away without the kids.
Attending sporting events such as the Super Bowl can cost a family a lot of money from tickets, food, parking and more. If you can't attend the actual event, consider visiting the stadium where the Super Bowl (or other major sporting event) occurred some other time.
I skied with Jonny Moseley last week at Squaw Valley. It's not every day I get to ski with a Gold Medalist, so naturally I asked for a ski tip. And I video taped it for your enjoyment. Here's the catch: it was a windy day so the sound is gawdawful! But Jonny Moseley is so super cute (yes, I do believe I'm 16 again), so I couldn't just trash the video.
