I’m making my list what to take on a 12-hour or so flight with an almost 2-year-old toddler. I’m slightly anxious about this journey, during which I expect he will be awake most of the time. This is a toddler with the attention span of a goldfish. Here’s what I have thought of or found from research to carry on the plane so far. PLEASE help me add to it!

  • Electronics (iPad, portable DVD player, 2 laptops)
  • Books
  • Stickers, paper, crayons
  • Snacks (suckers, veg and fruit…)
  • A few small surprise toys (playdoh, windups, etc)
  • Small or blow-up ball for layovers.
Of course there are other things like extra diapers and clothes, lovies and such. But this list seems way too short – I’d especially appreciate advice on attention-grabbing activities.

That's crazy. We've traveled with play-doh tons of times and never had a prob. Must have been just one of those weird calls.

We were at the Denver airport and play doh was taken away from a little girl.
