The end of the school year is upon us and plans of summer vacation trips with kids are on tap. Whether you plan to drive, fly, or take a train with young children this summer, you won't want to miss what Sesame Street Publishing has to offer.

I had the opportunity to try out a great selection of these items this past week in NYC. I tried out some of the technology which I wouldn't leave home without.

For example, Digital Publishing and Poingo. Keep your kids engaged instead of enraged with these learning-based books. Story narration is enhanced with multiple character voice-over activities and skills-based games.

Another favorite in the digital publishing group is the V.Reader published by Vtech. Keep kids busier reading games, story dictionary, and text highlighting right in their laps.

The list goes on with items from Tag Junior, perfect for ages 2-4, to Plawaway Digital Audio Books. This one I would love as well. It includes music and video clips from Sesame Street's 42-year history. Speaking of classics, I couldn't get enough of the animated version of “The Monser at the End of this Book”. Originally published as a Little Golden Book in 1971. The digital version now available has actually inspired the print version to increase in sales again! The digital version is now available on iTunes (iPad and JUST RELEASED for iPhone & iPod Touch). The special features are incredible, which include: Grover narration, animation faithful to beloved original art sytle, character touch interaction, text highlighting, including Young reader mode, parent tips, and personalized bookplate.
