The time has come. You are heading away from your family- it could be a business trip, a romantic getaway with your partner, or a weekend with the girls. Maybe you're cheering inside. You could be holding back tears as you go over the "in case" list for the hundredth time.
As much of the country digs out from what was one of the worst snowstorms we've been hit with in quite a while (record-setting here in Michigan anyway, next to the blizzard of 1978), I was reminded today of some things that everyone should remember when driving in snowy or slippery conditions, so I thought I would share them here.
In the next few weeks, Mardi Gras parades will begin all over the South and will continue until Fat Tuesday. Mardi Gras doesn’t have to be just for the adults. The daytime parades are a great outing for families. Children will enjoy collecting the many throws, seeing the floats, and the exciting atmosphere that is synonymous with Mardi Gras. After several Mardi Gras parades with our kids, we have a few tips that help to make our afternoon a fun-filled one!
