Looking for a new adventure? Zip lining is just one of the many activities you'll find at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park.
Climb 20ft in the air to jump off a perfectly good platform, then reach heights of 35ft off the ground, while you zip 800ft across the beautiful Wind River Valley. Take in the view of the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountain National Park while the river below rushes by.
My husband, Danny and I both enjoyed the challenge of this particular zip line. The zipping is actually the easy part. After you've climbed up and zipped across, you'll need to hike back across the ravine to do it all over again!
You must be above the age of 12 and no less than 80lbs or more than 220lbs for safety reasons. Individual cost is $12 per person for a 1.5 hour session. If you have a group of at least 6 people, you may reserve zip line time depending on availability by calling 970-586-3341 ext 1106. Group Zip Line rates are $200 per 1.5 hour session.Chris is a designer, WAHM and pilot’s wife living in Colorado. She writes as Standby Traveling Mom as well as at MamaBirdsBlog.com.
