Recently, my mountain family connected with our coastal cousins and put my 7 Tips for a Successful Family Reunion to use for a wonderful family reunion in beautiful Banner Elk, North Carolina.

It was the perfect location for our gathering full of active children and teens.
Before we were guests of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, my family never realized all that a luxury hotel could offer. Aquatica waterpark is one of the top waterparks in Orlando, Florida. Aquatica is located right next door to Sea World and is the perfect way to spend a hot Florida day.
We were offered the chance to visit Sea World’s waterpark with the kids and I’m glad we did -- I didn’t realize how much fun we'd have. As far as waterparks go this is one of the best I’ve been too. There were loads of water rides, plus wave pools and kid areas, giving you numerous options to choose from. I’m sure that’s why most of the lines were little to no wait.
What caught my eye about Jungle Island when I was searching for fun things to do Miami with my boys, was the amount of shows and animal interactions they offered. There are zoos and parks where you can see animals, and it’s great, but having the opportunity to interact with them is even better!
What to do and see in Jungle Island:
1. Holding the Animals – The adventure starts as soon as you walk in. You are greeted by members of the staff holding animals that you can touch and photograph with. The not so good part is that they are the ones in charge of photos and each cost $20.
