You’ve likely seen it in the news, or perhaps even on the big screen in the new Tom Cruise movie,
Mission Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol. I’m speaking of course, of
Dubai – a city beyond imagination flourishing in the middle of the desert in the Middle East.
Fascinated by all this futuristic, metropolitan city has to offer, my husband, Danny and I recently flew there
standby – which is another post in itself – for a whirlwind, spontaneous one-week
adventure.

Dubai is most famous for its’ amazing architecture, and the
Madinat Jumeirah is no exception. Located next to its’ sister properties, the
Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the famous,
Burj Al Arab, this luxurious, Arabian-styled resort boasts it’s own re-creation of an ancient market place, the
Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a 442-seat luxury
theatre, restaurants, bars, a full-service
spa and the
Quay Health Club.
We met with the PR and Communications Coordinator of the Jumeriah Group for a condensed tour of the property and to share with traveling moms all over the world the uniqueness of their new fitness facility designed just for kids:
Quay Skillz. Located inside the Quay Health Club where adult members and guests enjoy state-of-the-art equipment, a 25-metre temperature controlled indoor lap pool, an aerobics studio, two squash courts and a variety of classes, Quay Skillz is the UAE’s first youth health and fitness facility for young people between 7 and 16 years of age.

Developed by an international team of sports science experts, Quay Skillz uses a wide selection of ergonomically designed, cutting edge equipment combined with a highly personalized and fun approach to exercise, delivered by a team of school teachers, sports science experts and athletes. Check out their new climbing wall designed especially for younger trainers with smaller edges, ripples and smears for foothold use or small finger holds!
Quay Skillz is open daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm with age-specific and timetabled group fun, fitness and sport classes. The club also offers a personal training and one on one encouragement training sessions alongside rapid progression courses that offer elite sports specific program packages.
