Teens and parents who are looking for a bit of a rush during their travels will be thrilled to hear about CN Tower’s recent announcement. Set to Open August 1st, the new EdgeWalk will encourage visitors to push their personal limits while actually standing outside on the very edge of the Tower’s main pod - 356 metres in the air.
While the very thought of this sends shock waves down my spine, I’m sure there are some thrill seeking families who will find the new attraction incredibly exciting.
EdgeWalk is the world's highest full circle hands-free walk on a 5 ft wide ledge! I can see this as being something you either put on your Bucket List, or something you run far, far away from. Definitely not for the faint of heart!
In a recent press release, Mark Laroche owner and operator of the CN Tower said: “EdgeWalk is both thrilling and unique and will push visitors to their limits – literally and figuratively. This will be among Toronto’s, if not the world’s, greatest attractions.”
“There is a wow factor. It is exciting, it is something new, something we think will give another buzz to Toronto."
I agree. This will definitely create some buzz in the Toronto area, and is sure to offer a new “thrill” to tourists visiting the area.
Tickets for the new tour will go on sale June 1st and will run you an approximate $175. The package includes a “certificate of achievement”, keepsake video and photo. The entire tour lasts about 1 1/2 hours and it includes 20-30 minutes on the walk itself.
Interested? Visit CN Tower’s website for more info or to purchase tickets. If you do end up visiting the EdgeWalk, please do leave a comment below letting us know how it was. I am oh so curious!
