Are ye ready to party like a pirate? Then show a leg! Abandon ye long clothes for ye best swashbuckling threads and ready ye sea legs to hempen a jig with
Mickey’s Pirate Crew!
One evening out of each cruise the night belongs to pirates aboard the Disney Fantasy. The crew of the Fantasy actually begins their day decked out in pirate gear to remind you it’s
Pirate Night and ready you for the most fun you’ll ever have on a cruise ship.
I highly recommend bringing something piratey to wear this night, to really get into the spirit of things. You don’t have to go out and buy a costume or anything; I brought a simple ruffled white blouse, scarf to tie around my waist and khaki pants rolled up to the knees. All stuff I already had in my closet and that I could wear again as part of other outfits.

But, should your youngest buccaneer want to really make an entrance, Disney’s popular
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique gets ransacked by pirates this day and can help in your piratical transformation.
Now that you’re all decked out in your pirate gear, are ye ready to spin the “
Wheel of Destiny?” Head to D Lounge to take part in “
A Pirate’s Life for Me,” an action-packed pirate game show for the whole family before the party begins on the upper decks, or after.
Immediately following
dinner, join Mickey’s Pirate Crew on Donald’s Pool stage to kick off the fun with pirate games and the interactive show, “
Mickey’s Pirates IN the Caribbean.” You’ll get a chance to become an official member of Mickey’s Pirate Crew alongside Captain Mickey!
Captain Jack Sparrow joins the cast of characters for photo ops around the ship and later becomes part of an exciting, live-action pirate showdown “
Hunt Fer Jack” on the upper deck’s pool stage. Ladies, be prepared, or Captain Jack is likely to sweep you right off your feet as he did some of the TMOM’s on the cruise later at
Castaway Cay.

The showdown hits its’ crescendo with “
Buccaneer Blast,” the cruise industry’s first and only fireworks display at sea. We were fortunate to catch two fireworks shows on our cruise, as the Fantasy’s sister ship, the Dream, sailed along side us (but far enough away for safety) for its’ fireworks show right before ours’. Buccaneer Blast is a spectacular display of piratical pyrotechnics perfectly choreographed to songs from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies. Fantastic!
The fun doesn’t end there. The deck is then transformed into a high-tech, open-air dance party as guests young and old unleash their inner pirate and dance their boots off during “
Club Pirate,” a family-friendly bash featuring electrifying music, stunning visuals and special effects. It’s the perfect way to end your night of adventure.
